D-Link has enhanced its partner programme along global lineswith the aim of encouraging resellers to share knowledge with the aim ofdeveloping solutions that can increase the services revenue for partners.
By using a three tiered global alliance programme: strategic, solution andtechnology, those partners that enter the initiative will be given guidance onhow to develop solutions and get marketing funds, training and technical support.
Chris Davies, UK general manager at D-Link, saidthat the company had been going through some changes since the appointment of TonyTsao as CEO and was looking to improve its routes to market.
One of the challenges that he said the company hadrecognised was the move away from boxed product to a solution where thereseller could wrap added services and industry specific value around the kit.
“There has been a maturity of the marketplace,” he added “Moresolutions are coming into the market than we have seen in the past and now weare going to tell [resellers and customers] all about it.”
He added that it had been making investments and improvementsin the online resources for partners.
The global programme uses the web as a platform to gainaccreditation and check for product interoperability as well as acting as adirectory of those resellers and the solutions they are offering.
