A large proportion of technical staff are planning to makethis year the moment when they move to a better job.
According to the IT Job Board nearly 90% of those surveyedare looking at making moves in the months ahead to find better careeropportunities and positions that paid more salary.
On an upbeat note half of those questioned said that theyanticipated some negative impact from the downturn but not for this sector tobe as badly hit as others.
“It’s positive to see that the sector’s employees do notbelieve the economic downturn will have a major impact on career opportunities,”said Alex Farrell, managing director of the IT Job Board.
“It will be paramount for employees to attract and retainquality staff, and help them improve their technical skills,” he added.
