Memory distributor Simms International has strengthened itmanagement team after bringing in Jon Blows.
Blows follows in the footsteps of fellow ex-Catalus directorDave Flack, who joined Simms in the wake of the collapse of the firm intoadministration last month.
Blows replaces Angela Chadal in the role of commercialdirector after she decided to leave the firm after 12 years to pursue otherinterests.
Alex Tatham, managing director at Simms International, saidthat Blows had a remit to grow the business both organically and throughacquisition.
“Jon has been in the memory market for a long time and I amdelighted to be able to have such a strong replacement for Angela,” he said.
Flack holds the potions of external business developmentmanager and Tatham said he was charged with increasing the number of stockistsfor USB storage and SD cards.
“As flash memory becomes ubiquitous and certainly the removablestorage medium of choice, it surprising as to just how many retailers don’t yetstock USB memory or SD cards,” he said.
