Best Buy is just a couple of months away from opening itsfirst stores in the UK with a belief that despite the maturity of the marketthere is still room for another player to take share.
In a blog post providing an update on its progress openingstores in Thurrock and Southampton the UK CEO of Best Buy Paul Antoniadis said there was room for another electronics retailer.
“I have been very fortunate to have worked at Best Buy for anumber of years, in multiple countries, and I feel strongly that there's a realopportunity for us to offer something really fresh, exciting and new toelectronics consumers in the UK,”he wrote in a blog post.
The USretailer has been building its stores with the aim of dominating the retailparks it has chosen for launch bringing it into direct competition with PCWorld and Currys.
“The one aim we all have is to make Best Buy the number oneelectrical retailer in Thurrock,” wrote Kam Prajapati, general manager of the Kentstore on the company website.
