It is becoming quite a trend for vendors to encourage their resellers to target rivals in order to hit growth targets in a flat market by taking share.
The url filtering specialist is is aiming its sights on Blue Coat and Surf Control customers offering a trade-in deal which runs to the end of the year.
The deal means its rivals customers only have to pay out for support and update subscriptions with the hardware free if they swap the web appliance they are currently using.
Jesper Frederiksen, vice president of global sales at Clearswift, talked about the benefits of choosing its products but didn’t go into a great deal of rival bashing.
The vendor is optimistic that once given the chance to save some money and try and alternative additional market share will be secured.;
