Mitel partner event to focus on support

Mitel has outlined plans to step up the support its offersresellers in the next few months aiming to help them get through the recession.

 

The telco specialist is using its partner event at theCeltic Manor today as a venue to outline its efforts with more content beingput online to help with technical and business advice as well as reaffirmingits finance offers.

 

Enda Kenneally, UK salesdirector at Mitel, said that it had launched its finance scheme at the start of the year butthere was still an opportunity for resellers to take advantage of the packages,which targeted SMEs through to enterprise customers.

 

“They have been really well taken up in the last four tofive months and they are helping resellers sell where they wouldn’t be able tobecause of the current climate,” she said.

 

The vendor is also using its partner event to unveil itsDynamic Extension, Communications director and HD video conferencing products.

 

Don Smith, CEO of Mitel, said that it was helping customersthat not only wanted to react to the short-term conditions of the recession butplanned to keep a closer eye on their telecom costs.

 

“People will focus on getting an aggressive return oninvestment and some will be looking for 12 months but there will be others thatget ROI in 24 months and there is a different customer base coming through,” hesaid.
