Wick Hill has made its second vendor signing in a fortnightafter securing the rights to carry NetGear’s products including the secureappliance range.
The appointment follows on the heels of the signing ofSamsung’s voice and data division and indicates a push by Wick Hill into thenetworking infrastructure security market.
Just as with the Samsung appointment the distributor hasbeen charged with taking the NetGear ProSecure range out to the SME marketalong with the rest of the vendor’s networking range.
Ian Kilpatrick, chairman of Wick Hill, said that theProSecure range took NetGear into the security market and made a requirementfor a distributor that understands selling into that space.
“We have worked with NetGear previously in Germany and have an in-depthunderstanding of its products,” he said.
Mark Power, UKmanaging director at NetGear, said that it had signed up Wick Hill to supportits aim of growing sales of its security range.
