Former Novell country manager Jacqueline de Rojas has takenover running the UKfor McAfee.
As Novell boss she was widely credited with spearheadinga reform of the channel model at the vendor so comes to McAfee as vice president of UK and Ireland with detailedknowledge of the reseller landscape.
“Our partner ecosystem plays a key role in the ongoingdevelopment of out business in the UKand Ireland,and the expansion of our relationships with partners at all levels is afundamental part of the plan to move McAfee forwards,” she said.
She added that as security threats continued to escalate andcyber criminals become more sophisticated the market was benefiting from increasedcustomer interest.
“Cyber crime is growing at a pace in line with economicconcern, and as technology becomes increasingly mobile and the number ofcorporate devices grown exponentially, data needs to remain a keyconsideration,” she added.
David Quantrell, EMEA president at McAfee, said that de Rojashad proved she could drive growth and change at Novell and she had been broughton board to drive growth.
