Kaspersky sells through Intel portal to grow SME share

Anti-virus specialist Kaspersky Lab has signed up to sellproducts to SME customers via Intel’s Business Exchange portal.

 

The move has been described by sources close to the securityvendor as a way of complementing channel efforts as it widens its reach intothe small business market.

 

Kaspersky will sell its Anti Virus 2010 and Internet Security2010 via the Intel BX portal directly to customers.

 

Intel is on the hunt for software vendors to sellapplications via its portal and Peter Rohr, marketing manager at Intel BusinessExchange, said that it looked forward “to other leading brands adding theirsoftware”.

 

Alexey Fedorov, sales manager at Kaspersky Lab, said that theportal would enable it to reach new customers in the UK,France and Germany.
