Gateway to peace of mind

Although there are numerous arguments in the security world about exactly what defines the gateway, with remote working now widening the routes into data, there is no argument that dismisses the need for some protection.

With it well established that some sort of technology needs to block the threats as they come in to a business the challenge is for resellers to go out and knock on customers’ doors and get them to accept that the world has changed since they last spent some money on network protection.

Now a multi-layered approach is required to ensure threats do not get through so you would expect a security product to deliver email filtering, email encryption and web filtering as well as network protection.

Step forward the Astaro Security Gateway. Holding the box in your hand it is hard to accept the complex threats it is expected to fend off, but the vendor has worked hard to ensure it has a product that is ratified by leading security organisations and ready to deliver a solid performance.

The result of using open standards is that the ASG110 can be integrated straight into a customer’s infrastructure and provide the sort of protection that is quicker than using a combination of products to provide the same high
threat barrier.
