Ruckus Wireless is expanding its research and developmentfacilities and aiming to improve its support for its resellers after gaining$12m in its latest round of venture capital funding.
Speaking to MicroScope, Selina Lo, CEO and president of Ruckus Wireless, saidthat it would be setting up R&D facilities in China and expanding its operationsinto non-English speaking countries using the funds.
“We will be increasing sales and support coverage,” sheadded when detailing how the money would positively impact the channel.
Lo said that it was expecting some channel opportunitiesaround its outdoor wireless product that was aimed at the corporates and theeducation sector that wanted to extend wi-fi coverage to staff and studentsbeyond the confines of their buildings.
“Some resellers will be able to go in and win the bid justbecause they can offer external wireless,” she said.
