Citrix has announced changes to its licensing purchasingprocess in order to simplify customer paperwork and remove the need for upfrontcosts.
An increasing number of software vendors are reacting to thedemands for simplified licensing, which is one of the benefits of cloudcomputing, by offering single suite deals and pay as you grow options.
The Citrix Enterprise License Agreement programme has beenannounced at the vendors Synergy conference, currently being held in Las Vegas.
“Streamlining our licensing to make it easier for ourcustomers to leverage economies of scale when purchasing Citrix products helpsus achieve this goal,” said Al Monserrat, senior vice president, sales andservices at Citrix.
The vendor is also offering greater flexibility withdiscounts and the option to renew licenses when the customer requires itremoving the traditional need for an upfront payment.
At the same time the Citrix Synergy conference also saw thevendor announce an iPhone application providing users with remote access totheir Windows applications.
