Microsoft has unveiled the pricing for its Business ProductivityOnline Suite, which it is launching later this spring, arguing it offers theflexibility in costs customers are demanding.
The online suite, which includes communications andcollaboration tools, was launched in the USlast November and is coming to the UK in a matter of months at amonthly price of £10.04 per user.
Simon Gautrey, group manager for software plus services andemerging channels at Microsoft, said that the pricing was competitive and the attractionto customers was obvious.
“We are about to go into our customer information phase andin the next few weeks will be getting users on board and telling them about itbut there has already been a lot of interest in flexibility,” he said.
He added that one of the major areas of interest was comingfrom the SME community as they could get access to tools they would havetraditionally found too expensive.
“There is a definite opportunity in the mid market business,”he said.
Gautrey was unable to give an exact date for the launch ofthe Business Productivity Online Suite but said it was not too far away andinternally it was getting very close to the UK kick-off of the programme.
