C2000’s enterprise network, software and storage unit Azlan isto start selling Cisco’s Smart Care network monitoring and support service overa year after the programme first launched into the UK through rival distie Comstor.

Cisco Smart Care is a key element of the vendor’sCollaborative Services channel platform, which was itself launched in May 2008,and gives resellers increased access to Cisco IP.

This means dealers can offer more network monitoring, proactive maintenance and other support services to their customers than they couldthrough the SMARTnet service.

Azlan’s Smart Care service programme will form around threekey pillars, kit discovery and assessment services; an online platform toidentify and replace obsolete Cisco equipment; and lifecycle managementservices.

Azlan Cisco business director David Harvey said theappointment would give resellers full access to the potential of the Ciscoservices machine.

“They [resellers] can very easily wrap their own servicesand value around the Smart Care proposition and thus differentiate theirbusiness from the competition,” he added.
