Interface has reported a swift expansion in its SunMicrosystems reseller numbers to support its ambitions to increase its x86server sales.
The distributor has been building up its internal resourcesto support its Sun business with a team of 10 people available to helpresellers push x86 and SPARC server ranges.
John Taylor, Sun business unit director at Interface, said that itwanted to get volumes up but also keep a focus on high-end products.
He said that it had seen an impressive number of partners, withthe distributor now claiming it works with a fifth of Sun’s partners comparedto 1 in 20 five months ago.
The increase was a combination of resellers that were Sunvirgins as well as partners that had been working with other distributors.
