Fujitsu has suspended planned redundancies and strike action is being held off while members of the union Unite mull over the proposed remedies to the pay, pension and redundancies dispute.

Union Unite is balloting its members at Fujitsu, with the result expected on 26 February.

The proposals were made through the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS).

Fujitsu said in a statement that Unite is recommending members accept the proposals.

"Through ACAS, Fujitsu has made proposals to Unite for the settlement of the dispute. Unite will be asking its members to vote on these proposals with a recommendation that they accept them," the firm revealed.
