Adventi Group has ceased trading after its administrator PWC offloaded the technical support arm to rival Scottish reseller Castle Computer Services but was unable to find a buyer for the remaining reselling business.

As exclusively revealed by MicroScope last month, the parent of Scotsys and Integral Arm was placed into administration after HMRC could not agree a payment plan for outstanding tax bills.

In a statement, PWC joint administrator Bruce Cartwright confirmed the IT support arm was sold to Castle Computers on 30 April for an undisclosed sum.

"This has resulted in continuity of business services to a number of customers and retention of a number of jobs for the employees," he said.

The remaining business has "now ceased to trade" as achieving a sale of the reselling operation was "not feasible". This includes the reselling operations of Apple and AV kit.
