Fujitsu Technology Solutions (FTS) is seeking a successor to replace current boss Paul Parrish who leaves the firm at the end of next month to join Phoenix IT Services.

In an internal memo sent to staff, Fujitsu confirmed that Parish - who took sole control of the UK operation following the departure of Steve Kendall-Smith in late 2008 - is off to pastures new.

"Paul Parrish, managing director of the Technology Solutions Division has decided to leave Fujitsu to pursue his career elsewhere," the memo stated.

"Paul will be leaving Fujitsu at the end of October 2010 and we will make further announcements regarding his replacement," it added.

Parrish joined Fujitsu Siemens - prior to the split between the Japanese and German firm - when it acquired Siemens Business Services, and this background was favoured when the UK outfit integrated the product and services units.

He then became managing director at FTS in October last year following Fujitsu's acquisition of Siemens' stake in the joint venture.

The enterprise market was set aside as a major focus for FTS as it backed out of the volume PC markets and according to Q2 figures by IDC, it grew unit shipment 46% in the second quarter, IDC figures reveal.

According to industry talk, Parrish is due to join Phoenix IT Services from November and is expected to become managing director once current incumbent Steve Neville retires at the end of the fiscal year in March.
