The UK management team at Avnet was finally unveiled today as the distributor rallied the troops to use the expanded portfolio and customer base to take market share from rivals.
As revealed last week, director of enterprise computing Colin McGregor has left the business to set up a people development consultancy but the picture got a little clearer today with three sales directors named.
In a staff memo, UK boss John Toal confirmed that Paul Cook will oversee key accounts, SMB and systems integrator; Laura Harman is in charge of networking, security, storage, wireless mobility and document management and Matt Tedstone will focus on enterprise computing.
Linda Pattison remains UK marketing director and the memo confirmed the appointments of Margaret Duke as HR director and Nick Lee as FD, while John Periera has been made UK logistics director.
"With the new team in place our focus will be now to deliver profitable growth and to be the best VAD in the market. Key objectives are market share growth [and] leveraging the expanded portfolio into the combined customer base," said Toal.
Work is currently underway to unify the branding with the Bell Microproducts label to be confined to history from 1 October.
The former Bell business expects to migrate to Avnet's system infrastructure in Q1 next year.
