Ingram Micro is hoping that its recently installed head of marketing Stewart Hayward can breathe new life into the department.
He joined at the start of November after a decade at SME dealer WStore - which was sold to Systemax last year - and replaces Gemma Telford, who left at the end of October to become marketing director at 360 Business Marketing.
The Milton Keynes-based distributor said it has handed Hayward a brief to "revitalise the Ingram Marketing offering" and lean on his time spent in distribution and reselling; he also did a stretch at distributor CHS Electronics.
"The appointment of Stewart Hayward brings significant commercial, vendor and marketing experience at both reseller and distributor level to this key role," said Ingram Micro UK big cheese Matt Sanderson.
He said Hayward was on the thick end of "marketing campaigns from distribution for over a decade and was also responsible for end user marketing and vendor management and therefore brings as end-to-end view of marketing activities."
