Computacenter has bolstered its board with the addition of industry veteran Brian McBride.
The services-based reseller revealed today in a filing to the City that McBride is joining as senior independent
director (SID), Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and a non-exec director (NED) of the board.
"We are delighted that Brian has agreed to join our board. He has relevant experience aplenty and, having known hom for 30 years, I commend his independence of spirit and thought to all our shareholders," said CC Chairman Greg Lock.
McBride joins from Amazon where he spent five yeas as VP and managnig director of the UK online operation but has also held senior positions within Dell, IBM and T-Mobile.
He was also has broad-based non-exec experienc as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and SID of S3 Plc, NED at Celtic Football Club, Chairman of Virgin Mobile and board member of the British Retail Consortium.
