Lenovo will start shipping its ThinkServer line into the SME market at the start of next month but it is not yet clear how aggressive the vendor plans to get with rivals in Europe.
Details on the ThinkServer TS100 Tower, RS110 Rack, TD100 Tower, TD100x and the RD120 Rack emerged today which is the culmination of Lenovo's licensing deal it penned with IBM in January.
At the time, Marc Godin, Lenovo worldwide vice president and general manager of the enterprise business unit said business partners had demanded that it broaden the portfolio in Europe beyond PCs and laptops.
But resellers will need to wait for another couple of weeks before they are privy to Lenovo's pricing strategy for the three towers and two racks available with Microsoft Windows Server or SUSE Linux Enterprise Server from Novell.
The system will ship with management tools the vendor said will make configuration, updates and administration simple for SMEs including ThinkServer EasyStartup, EasyUpdate and EasyManage.
