SCH has acquired small Essex-based Technical Support Group to extend its managed print services base.

The deal with the office equipment and repairs specialist will add maintenance and warranty services for brands including Ricoh, Samsung, Lexmark, Brother, Kyocera and Xerox to the SCH fold.

Mike Swain, SCH UK services director said it wanted to bolster its reach around MFD and print platforms to tap into customers demanding a 'walk in and take over' service model.

He said this allowed SCH to "transform and transition their print strategy over time, rather than an expensive refresh at the start of the contract".

In the last set of numbers filed for the year to 31 December 2009, TSG posted abbreviated accounts as it had a turnover that was less than £5m. Net assets were a little over £12,000 so the move will give TSG more financial security.
