Computacenter (CC) has made its second acquisition in as many weeks, snapping up German Apple integrator HSD Consult for €4.9m (£4.3m).

The London-based reseller hinted at the start of 2011 that it would highly acquisitive this year and to date has bought Top Info in France and taken a minority stake in ICS Solutions.

"Computacenter Germany AG intends to acquire the whole of the German Apple integrator, HSD Consult, from the Gravis Group, subject to competition authority clearance," said CC in a statement to the market.

The initial price is €4.9m but this could rise a further €500,000 depending on "level of acquired sklls retained at the end of 2011", CC added.

The consumerisation of IT and the advent of the iPad is taking Apple into the corporate market and in the UK at least, CC has noted growing demand for tablets.

The aim of the HSD Consult acquisition is to boot CC's presence in the "mobility integration solution market" in Germany, it said.
