Check Point product launches boost revenues

Check Point has pointed to a raft of product launches as themain contributing factor to explain a decent set of Q3 numbers ending September30 2011 exceeded its own projections, writes Mar Dixon.

Total revenue increased by 13% to $308.3 million from thirdquarter of 2010 $273.2 million. GAAP net income also showed an increase raising17% from $114.5 million in the third quarter of 2010 to $134.1 million thisquarter.

Non-GAAP Net Income recognised a 15% increase up from $132.6 million to third quarter earnings of $152.9 million.  Non-GAAP earnings per diluted share rose from $0.63 to $0.72, a 14% increase.

Check Point continued to build on 3D security in the thirdquarter with the introduction of R75.20 release, which is based on SoftwareBlade Architecture .  Additionally, SecurityPower a new metric for security performance hasrecently been introduced.
