McAfee and Computer 2000 have launched a new initiative, SMB Connect Programme, to give resellers the opportunity to work towards McAfee's SMB specialization without making major time commitment, writes Linda Endersby.
The programme teams online sales training with access to a special bid desk, generous deal registration and marketing support.
The training, provided through McAfee's PARC portal, equips resellers with simple access to the vendor's solutions for SMB customer needs including security SaaS solutions.
Tim Stone, director distribution EMEA for McAfee, said: "We wanted to bring together a package for the broader reseller base and make it easy for resellers to work with us; to access resources like the Global Threat Intelligence (GTI) Centre and of course, make money with us."
To support this move McAfee is putting in place a framework and pricing mechanism to enable partners to offer customers any combination of services and products with flexible payment terms.
James Reed, general manager software for Computer 2000, said: "McAfee is a major force in the software security market and as part of Intel it has all the backing and investment it needs to strengthen and enhance its position. To do that, it needs to work with channel partners and this is what SMB Connect is all about."
