DiData services sales behind improving performance

Alex Scroxton
Dimension Data's European unit was singled out as an improved business area during the three months to 31 December, as services revenues continued to show growth.

Overall, the South Africa-based group and key Cisco partner said it booked a sound trading performance, with reported turnover up 6% year-on-year - down 9% on a constant currency basis - and sequentially flat. DiData does not disclose full figures in its interim statements.

Looking forward, the group said in a statement, "we are seeing improved demand in some reguions, although the overall demand environment by region and business remains mixed."

The firm's management expects to book flat constant currency turnover during the first half of its fiscal 2010, which closes at the end of March.
