Mitel has confirmed its UK salesdirector, Enda Kenneally, is to leave the company to pursue other interestsafter a review of its top-level management.
Rumours circulating in thechannel had suggested that Kenneally fell victim to a boardroom tussle betweenchannel advocates and others who favoured taking more business direct.
However, in a statement sentto MicroScope, Mitel insisted it remained "totally committed to its channel-centricstrategy in the UKand EMEA".
The firm said that it wasstarting to see signs of recovery in some of its markets, but it was taking"prudent action" to streamline its organisation and "effectively manage longerterm opportunities".
Mitel EMEA managing director Graham Bevington is to takea more hands-on role in the UK,having spent the last few years concentrating on the firm's European strategy.
Bevington will concentrateon introducing new strategic, technological and partnership initiatives, Mitelsaid.
Despite repeated attemptsKenneally could not be reached for comment.
