Cloud ERP specialist Salesorder.com is looking to the channel as its route to the SME market in an attempt to get more SME customers and resellers selling hosted services.

Small businesses are starting to move towards the cloud but juggling existing on-premise systems with mixed results but resellers also face challenges.

Nick Spooner, co-founder and CEO of Salesorder.com, said that plug-and-play ERP, not only took the pain of cloud away from resellers but also speeded up the turnaround from set-up to margin payments.

"It's the closest thing to 'free money' for the channel it's a solution that small businesses want now," he said.

Recent research from Microsoft indicated that SMEs had put cloud computing on their agenda's for 2010 and earlier today an EMEA survey of resellers by CA placed expected customer investment in cloud as the second hottest technology area.
