VADition goes Dutch with first European office

Security distributor VADition has opened an office in the Netherlands to serve the Benelux region as the first move into Europe.

The distributor has appointed two staff to get the office up and running and are on the brink of announcing several vendors which have signed up looking for sales in the area.

The approach of the office will be to support those vendors that are looking to launch in Europe and lean on a distributor to provide local sales and marketing support.

Speaking to MicroScope, founder and director of VADition Neil Ledger, said that the Dutch office was the first foray into Europe but would not be the last this year.

"Part of the strategy for 2010 is to have a more European footprint," he said.

The Dutch office is being headed up by Rob Pronk, former executive at Aruba Networks and Extreme Networks and Patrick van Arendonk, who has worked at Juniper, F5 and Cisco.
