The speed with which Windows 7 has sold has made it the fastest selling OS from the vendor ever, and shown that the momentum that surrounded the launch back on 22 October has continued.
Throughout the build up to the arrival of Windows 7 there were numerous references to the experience the channel went through with Vista, where expectations of success failed to materialise and users held onto XP.
But this time around Microsoft made it quite clear that holding onto XP was not an option as it was going to hit the end of life buffers and users seem to have been prepared to upgrade.
