Cisco launches new marketing unit

Cisco has launched a new marketing organisation called the Partner Demand Centre to help resellers and system integrators ramp up the speed and efficiency of their marketing activities.

The centre will provide marketing tools and resources for resellers dealing with the SMB sector from three global locations.

Through the scheme dealers get access to an online portal that collates a library of campaign templates, event management tools, website marketing services and social media integration. A call-centre service dubbed M-concierge will also be made available to provide guidance through the resources available.

Those signed up to the Europe-specific Avant Garde partner scheme will get additional benefits, such as dedicated client managers and depending on their position within the programme, marketing assistance and bespoke campaign management.

Meanwhile, partners signed up to Cisco's Partner Development Funds programme will also be able to use funds generated from the scheme to pay for marketing campaigns.

Cisco Europe vice president of worldwide partners Thierry Drilhon said the vendor had observed that a large number of its partners had "limited budgets, resources or marketing expertise."

"By equipping partners with the tools they need to generate as many leads as possible, we are putting them on a course for sustainable but ambitious growth," he added.
