Bell has been signed up to help push business products through the channel as D-Link establishes itself beyond just routers and switches and sets out its credentials as a storage player.
Chris Davies, general manager of D-Link UK and Ireland, said that it had increased the range of products that could go through distribution as it added networked storage and IP surveillance to its portfolio.
"Inevitably this has meant that we need new routes to market and more high-end reseller partners to fulfil this increasing demand," he said.
"D-Link has changed in the UK from about 80 per cent plus of revenues going to the consumer marketplace to now, where our channel is about 90 per cent business orientated," he added
Bell joins a distribution roster including Enta Technologies, Micro Peripherals and Ingram Micro.
Tom Ellis, business unit manager for storage solutions at Bell Micro, said that it would grow market share for the vendor and add it to its range of networking solutions.
