Sophos adds endpoint security to MSP programme

Security vendor Sophos has announced the initial availability of an endpoint security as a service offering and formalised its managed service provider (MSP) programme.

Initially available at launch via Sophos' four Service Partner Alliance (SPA) partners, Bytes, Insight, PCWare and Softcat, the programme is open to any of its partners.

The new offering adds add services, such as remote monitoring and endpoint protection, that fall outside of the areas currently covered by the vendor's MSP scheme.

"Many small businesses have limited resources to manage and secure their endpoint, web and email infrastructure," said Sophos vice president of UK and Ireland, Ciaran Rafferty. "[This has] contributed to the growth in the MSP market as more look to outsource security."

He added: "In the past, Sophos has worked with MSPs on a case-by-case basis. With the growing market shift it made sense on several fronts for us to offer a more formalised MSP programme."
