Hosted IT services provider Peer 1 has added a dedicated UK channel boss to spearhead a planned ramp up of its activities in the dealer channel.
Amanda Dunn joins the firm from services house B&M Europe - having also done time as an enterprise account manager with Hewlett-Packard - and will take responsibility for evolving the firm's channel programme through further reseller and system integrator recruitment.
"We have also put together a new salesforce and are building a more responsive in-house team," Dunn said.
As part of an avowed aim to push 50% of its business through the channel by 2013, the firm plans to add extra VARs and SIs to its line-up. It launched a dedicated partner portal earlier in the year and will be rolling out training programmes within the next three months, Dunn told MicroScope.
Peer 1 is hoping to tempt potential partners with ongoing annuity incomes, as well as hefty one-time referral commissions of up to 50% of monthly referral revenues (MRR) at the basic level, and 10% of MRR on an ongoing 'evergreen' basis at the highest, platinum level, said Dunn.
