Integrator 2e2 this morning hailed an improvement in its full-year results for fiscal 2009, which closed at the end of December, in spite of the ravages of the global recession.
The firm saw sales grow a little over 2% to £200m, while operating profit came in at £11.2m, up 10.8% on fiscal '08.
Setting his sights firmly on the goal of achieving £500m revenues through the acquisition of Morse, CEO Terry Burt said 2009 had been a "successful year" for the group "particularly given the macro-economic climate that existed".
"Almost a year after we completed the integration of our UK business, we have a stronger and more adaptable business, and this is helping us to serve our customers more effectively," he added.
