Callow set ambitious targets for reseller growth by Lexmark

Lexmark has set ambitious targets for channel boss Paul Callow to increase its reseller base, entrench customer loyalty and develop fresh reseller programmes.

Callow has only just been officially named as ISD & channel director for UK & Ireland after a spell as supplies director and has been given a brief of refreshing the reseller programme, bringing more dealers on board and encouraging partners to increase customer loyalty.

Callow replaced Marcus Harvey who left earlier this summer to take the general manager position at Logitech.

To assist the targets, which include increasing the Lexmark Value Print dealer numbers from 40 to 60 by the end of the year, Callow will have a range of promotions and incentives that are running over the next five months to support the channel refresh.

The promotions are also aimed at encouraging customer loyalty and are connected to the workgroup laser and MFP laser printer ranges.

Callow will also be looking to develop relationships with Expert and Prtemium dealers that will target the SME, enterprise and education sectors.

Steve Purdy, country manager at Lexmark UK, said that the programme would grow the reseller base and improve customer support and had to "nurture the green shoots starting to come through from the hard work of the last twelve months".
