ComputerLinks has signed up with cloud provider OpSource to offer those resellers that do not have the infrastructure with a platform for delivering hosted services.
In a move that could indicate where distribution plays a role in a cloud world the security and virtualisation player has opted to establish its own credentials rather than rely on vendors filling the gap.
Dave Ellis, director of new technologies and services at ComputerLinks, said that it had built a portal, the Alvea infrastructure, for resellers to navigate through the cloud and services options.
He said that assistance with the cloud was one of the concerns that its resellers threw back at the distributor.
"We think there is a place in the market for wrapping a good amount of value around this," he said.
To help resellers get onboard the distributor is holding a number of workshops to guide them through the portal.
