Oracle has not ruled out making further acquisitions despite shelling out billions in purchases of Sun and several smaller purchases already in the database and business intelligence space this year.
Speaking at an analyst event Jeff Epstein, CFO at Oracle, indicated that the vendor was not finished on the acquisition front and was keen to expand its ability to provide a mix of software and hardware.
"We will continue to invest heavily in internal research and development and we'll continue to make small acquisitions and large acquisitions to acquire great products, great R&D," Epstein told analysts.
The vendor has just wrapped up its OpenWorld partner event encouraging resellers to sell more
services and cloud infrastructure offerings that were announced at the shindig.
