Data centre distributor Magirus is attempting a run at what it calls the "untapped" low-end market for data centre and cloud based computing with the launch of a new unified data centre offering dubbed vBundle.
Available to SME-focused resellers, the bundles take the form of preconfigured computing, network, storage and data management technology from the distie's key vendors, Cisco, EMC and VMware.
According to Magirus the packages - which come in three different sizes depending on number of virtualised machines supported - will offer lower capital outlays, higher energy efficiency and reduced TCO.
They can also be supplemented with technologies from other firms in Magirus' line-up, such as VisionCore or Veeam, to provide a more bespoke option for dealers to sell on.
"We have takena proven framework and shrunk down the specification into more affordable data centre solutions for SMEs," said Magirus UK managing director Denise Bryant.
"VBundles enable smaller organisations to have access to the benefits of technologies that were previously only affordable by larger enterprises," she added.
