Brick steps down as HP Networking head

HP Networking UK country sales director Darryl Brick has stepped down from his post with immediate effect, it has emerged.

His replacement, Barry Bonnett, is joining HP from little-known comms consultancy outfit Stejac.

Prior to his short stint at Stejac he was president of Nortel's European enterprise business, but left the firm in January of this year following the acquisition by Avaya.

Bonnett will report to Carlos Sartorius, general manager and vice president of HP Networking EMEA, and will be based in Bracknell.
In a statement, HP praised Brick's contribution in " building a strong sales team and establishing a successful business in this region over the last three years."
He joined the ProCurve business in late 2007 following the departure of previous incumbent Jon Weatherall, having managed the enterprise reseller network in Dave Poskett's channel team.
Brick declined to comment either on the reasons for his departure or his future plans in the industry.
