Network equipment maker F5 Networks is the latest vendor to weigh in with quarterly numbers as the latest results season gets into full swing.
Posting Q4 results today, F5 reported sales of $254.3m (£160.7m), up 45% year-on-year, as well as GAAP net income of $48.2m, up 19% over the same period.
President and CEO John McAdam said a shift in spending towards more flexible, on-demand type networking solutions had boosted the company's profit revenue during the year.
"Our product have been increasingly deployed as strategic points of control in new data centre, architectures ... [and] among service providers grappling with the proliferation of mobile devices," said McAdam.
"Barring another economic setback, the strength of our current business and are gorwing pipleine are encouraging signs," he added.
The first quarter of F5's fiscal 2011 closes at the end of December, the the firm said today it was targeting around $267m in sales.
