Fujitsu Technology Solutions' (TS) new channel and enterprise sales director Simon Worsfold has pledged to rebuild the firm's standing in the market and focus on driving more business to its channel partners, saying: "I believe the ground we have lost can be made up without question."
Fujitsu TS, which was formed out of a combination of the remnants of Fujitsu Siemens and the Fujitsu Services integration busines, concentrates mainly on servers and storage but commands a meagre share of the market and is not currently seen as a major player.
Speaking to MicroScope, Worsfold acknowledged that Fujitsu had had its ups and downs, saying: "There was a lot of apprehension when Fujitsu Siemens was merged into Fujitsu Services.
"But we remain a separate division within the firm and have a very clear remit going all the way to the top that our channel business is imperative to our success and an intrinsic part of TS," he said.
He insisted that its server and storage products were "second to none", citing positive customer feedback which will form the basis of a major channel campaign around the datacentre environment.
Alongside the collaborative sales campaign that will leverage high-touch sales teams working within the services business, Fujitsu TS will also be running a series of roadshows for partners, the first of which took place in Reading earlier this week.
