Cryptzone has acquired NETconsent in a move that reflects the wider trend for convergence between the data loss prevention market and the security arena.

The decision to snap up the British based NETconsent, which provides security policy management software, came as a result of the demand DLP specialist Cryptzone had seen from customers for greater protection around data.

"An increasing number of organisations are turning to automated policy management software to raise standards of policy compliance," said Peter Davin, CEO of Cryptzone Group.

In response Dominic Saunders, COO of NETconsent said that there was a solution that could be sold by linking the technologies together.
