Magirus drops SolarWinds into vBundle line-up

Data centre distributor Magirus is to add network management capabilities from SolarWinds to its vBundle package.

Magirus picked up the SolarWinds EMEA distribution contract in September to complement its growing Cisco business.

Its vBundle proposition, launched a few weeks later, is a preconfigured data centre package pitched at the SME market and incorporates technology from Cisco, EMC and VMware.

SolarWinds' latest release includes Cisco UCS support as well as simplified monitoring of complex installations, virtualised infrastructure monitoring and new capabilities around network incident management.

"We now have the opportunity to combine vBundle offerings with SolarWinds' enterprise network, data centre and virtualisation management solutions," said Magirus executive vice president and COO, Christian Magirus.

"Our resellers can [now] offer an end-to-end hardware solution with management ... that is easy to deploy, easy to use and a significant value to their customers," he added.
