Radware relaunches channel programme

Application delivery networking provider Radware has lifted the lid on a new reseller-facing programme dubbed Smart Choice.

The firm bought the Alteon switching business from Nortel in 2009 and pledged to 
revitalise the flagging unit. It subsequently became the subject of acquisition talks itself.

Radware says in spite of talk about its own future, it has seen its business and market share undergo dramatic growth since the acquisition. It recently launched its OnDemand Switch platform and Virtual Application Delivery Infrastructure strategy, and has also enhanced the Alteon line-up.

Following a review of its existing partner infrastructure in light of the changes to its business, Radware has now created a larger-scale framework to support VARs and system integrators.

The vendor said a simpler, three-tier global structure, and more personalised model would allow for the introduction of solution-focused competencies among partners, which can be tailored to local requirements.

"We have actively taken steps to ensure the recruitment of best-of-breed resellers who will be actively supported by locally-based management and support teams," said Radware channel marketing director Orli Amir.

Radware added that the usual perks, including web portals, partner locators and marketing support, are included within the set-up.
