Juniper team reunites at McAfee

Alex Scroxton

McAfee has appointed former Juniper channel sales boss David Small to run its channel and commercial business in EMEA, after previous incumbent Georges Millet left to pursue other opportunities.

Small joins just months after McAfee nabbed Juniper's Gert-Jan Schenk as its new EMEA president.

"David is a strong channel professional who brinds to McAfee more than 20 years of global sales and marketing experience in security, hardware and networking," said Schenk.

"His expertise in the networking space in particular will help McAfee to further its leadership position in the network security market," he added.

Small previously worked with Netscreen, which was acquired by Juniper in 2004, and prior to that at SSL start-up Neoteris. He has also done time with Trinagy and XCel Communications, which were acquired by HP and Nortel respectively.

The multi-billion dollar acquisition of McAfee's by Intel, announced in August, cleared FTC hurdles in the US just before Christmas, but as previously reported the deal could come under EU scrutiny.
