Logicalis reveals secrets of public sector success

Logicalis has taken the unprecedented step of releasing a framework document that reveals its secrets of being a successful supplier to the public sector.

The Public Sector Network (PSN) Delivery Framework has been published and shared with other channel players in the spirit of encouraging a different approach from resellers to cash-strapped customers.

Logicalis has been at the forefront of efforts to get both customers and government to think differently about how IT can be used to improve efficiencies and quality in the public sector and the aim of sharing its framework is to inspire others to base their efforts on its approach.

One of the rewards of using a PSN framework is the potential to save between 20-40% through connectivity consolidation. But beyond the savings there can be rewards through channel partners collaborating on public sector projects around the same common approach.

"As we move into 2011, it is vital that the public sector and ICT partners engage differently. Logicalis' openness is in the spirit of true partnership with the UK public sector," said Tom Kelly, managing director of Logicalis UK.

One of the key principles behind the decision to publish the PSN framework is the belief held by Logicalis that there needs to be a fresh approach with greater levels of partnership to help cut costs.

"In this new era of public sector, where disparate and historically disconnected orgainsations will dynamically come together around shared service delivery, PSN is a fundamental platform," said Chris Gabriel, director of solutions and marketing at Logicalis UK.
