Azlan hears AudioCodes call

VoIP and voice networking vendor AudioCodes has signed up with Azlan in a new deal covering the UK and Ireland.

Azlan, which has long-stated ambitions in the still fast-growing unified communications market, said the addition of AudioCodes gear would beef up its existing portfolio in the space, which is anchored by key vendors Avaya and Cisco.

AudioCodes claims its products are interoperable with all major PBX and IP-PBX kit, including Microsoft Lync. It offers converged voice and data solutions that include capabilities including network access, routing and media gateway security.

Said Azlan senior solutions architect Chris Ovett: "Our relationship with AudioCodes removes one of the most prominent barriers to adoption of UC - the ability to unify legacy technologies with the latest UC solutions."

"Resellers can [now] extend the life of PBXs still under contract and enable migration between old and new IP-based voice systems," he added.
