SAP has unveiled a handful of partners and a couple of large customers to kick off the launch of its cloud based Business ByDesign ecosystem into the UK.
The vendor has been developing its hosted service across Germany, France and the US over the last four months and brings the ecosystem to the UK today looking for resellers to sign up and pitch the SME community with the technology.
The five partners that have been unveiled today have been recruited to support the volume business SME product: WNL Ltd, itelligence, Business by the Cloud, G3 Global and Broadgate Infonet.
"The partner ecosystem is a fundamental part of our SME strategy, and introducing partners for SAP Business ByDesign is key, Customers are looking for faster time to value, easy deployment and flexible purchasing options," said Ian Anstey, head of Business ByDesign at SAP UK.
Some of those signing up with SAP have worked with the vendor before but others are fresh faces as the vendor looks to expand its channel with more cloud capable partners.
Justin Brading, managing director of Chelford SAP Solutions and itelligence UK, said more of its customers were looking for a hosted service.
"An ever increasing number of SME organisations are looking to cloud based solutions to manage their business in because they provide quick time to value with lower up front investments," he said.
